Local Hawaiian community groups and youth agencies throughout Asia and Polynesia have been clamoring for the ability to help young people from throughout the region connect with each other and learn English more proficiently. BYU-Hawaii has an extensive outreach into Asia and offers every language throughout Asia and Polynesia as part of its foreign language curriculum. Journey’s unique ability to teach and train youth and BYU-Hawaii’s language-teaching abilities has partnered to bring this first time ever offering.

Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and many other groups from throughout the pacific rim will now have the opportunity of coming to Hawaii to hone their English skills while participating in awesome activities that will help them gain leadership skills, self-confidence, and greater self-efficacy while American youth will have the unique opportunity to teach English to peers & learn a new culture.
